- 5 January 1991: Georgia invades South Ossetia, Russia intervenes. Not too different from the war of which McCain speaks
- 27 June 1991: Slovenians declare independence from Yugoslavia
- 27 June 1991: Bosnian War – resulting from the dissolution of Yugoslavia
- 11 December 1994: First Chechen War: Russia invades Chechnya
- …
- 7 October 2001: US and NATO invade Afghanistan
- 20 March 2003: US and ad-hoc coalition invade Iraq
- 14 August 2006: 2006 Lebanon War: Mainly between Hezbollah and Israel
For someone who loves war, the only explanation for forgetting these dozens of wars that sparked international crises is senility.
